This past weekend was very much needed. As most of you know, competitive cheerleading was my entire life growing up. I started rec cheering when I was 7 and instantly fell in love with the sport – from stunting to tumbling and everything in between. I cheered for Linglestown Colts, CHEERnastix Elite, CD East Junior High, the Harlem Globetrotters, Big33, Central Dauphin High School, CHEER TYME, South Jersey Storm, and University of Delaware. I made so many memories and friendships along the way and I was coached by some of the absolute best people in the industry.
Cheer Tyme held a 25th reunion yesterday and I was honored to share this day with some of the most important people in my past and to give many long overdue hugs. It was also a very special day for all of us because they took the time to do awards and hold a fashion show. The girls got to model uniforms going through the past 25 years of cheer and they felt so important. It was fun watching them and the room was set up perfectly. I was inducted into their first class Hall of Fame with 25 other insanely good athletes!! My banner with my picture will forever hang in the Cheer Tyme gym. Our family won a Family first award as well for being such a huge part of the organization both past and present. It was fun to see my name and our pictures everywhere and a gigantic banner hanging up with my picture on it. I felt the pride and love of my girls as they kept saying “mommy, look your famous! That’s you!” Kimberly Braasch and Scott Crasher Braasch thank you for hosting such a beautiful event and giving us a chance to re-live such awesome times and thank you for opening your home/pool to everyone. It was incredible to see everyone… I hope the next one is even bigger!!!
